The Giving Common is a great resource for local philanthropy every day and can be updated any time. To save you time, we share your nonprofit’s published information every few months with our technology partner GuideStar and with hundreds of other national platforms across the Web (a handful listed here) so that your material is up-to-date (unless it is set to not transfer per conversations with our team). Data from Giving Common will update your GuideStar record and other platforms if submitted by March 2. To update, enter data into Giving Common and submit your changes to ensure they transfer. Need help logging in or have questions? Reach out to us by e-mail or phone 617-338-1623 for assistance.
As the dust settles from your nonprofit’s year-end campaigns and you share expressions of gratitude (click here for donor thank you tips), plans for 2016 and stories of impact, the Giving Common team is happy to ensure your organization has an up-to-date login to its profile, to access donation reports. Simply have the appropriate staff member at your nonprofit e-mail Giving Common staff to request a login.
The Protecting Americans From Tax Hikes Act of 2015 (the Act), which was signed by the President on December 18, 2015, contains many provisions that directly affect tax-exempt organizations. Click here to view tax implications for nonprofits going forward.
#GivingTuesday 2015 was a wonderful reminder of how nonprofits with profiles on GivingCommon.org can leverage technology to accept credit card donations and connect to supporters on giving days and year-round.* Whether you link to your profile with the easy-to-use downloadable Giving Common seal (available here) on your website, donor e-mails, newsletters or share your direct profile link through social media campaigns, we are here to help you leverage this streamlining tool. Reach out to Amanda and Leigh by e-mail for assistance and more information. Stayed tuned for updates and innovations about this Giving Common nonprofit gift technology in 2016!
*The Giving Common was thrilled to see the enthusiastic response from many of you who took advantage of the GivingCommon.org credit card processing fee coverage the Boston Foundation provided on #GivingTuesday.
Please share your feedback and stories with us ([email protected]), as we strive to enhance the GivingCommon.org experience for nonprofits and donors throughout 2016. To those who have already reached out to us, thank you, and keep the anecdotes, data and reflections coming!
