Nonprofit Trainings

We are delighted to work with your organization on your Giving Common profile.  Nonprofit training sessions are optional, but participation does tend to enable organizations to complete their profiles more quickly.

If you are not interested in attending a training session you can started on your own by visiting “Getting Started” and following the steps outlined to request a profile.  The Giving Common team is here to help you throughout the process with phone and email support.

Training FAQs

What will I learn?  What is the goal of training sessions?

During the training session you will learn how to input materials, review the tips and tricks of getting information into the system and gain confidence in using the Giving Common.

Staff will be available to reply to individual questions and help you with your profile.

Who can attend a training?  Who should attend?

In order to attend a training, you must represent a qualified 501 (c)(3) public charity.  Most nonprofits send the staff person responsible for online grant applications as the information required to complete a Giving Common profile is similar.

What should I bring?

Please bring your laptop if possible. We will have a limited number of laptops available for your use.  Prior to training the Giving Common team will create a username and password for you.
